Welcome!

My name is Aleksandra Kowalczyk. I am a licensed Krakow guide and a tour leader, guiding not only groups, but individual tourists as well.

If you want to see Krakow or its neighbourhood in an interesting and unconventional way - let me be your guide! I`m looking forward to seeing you in Krakow!

The Royal Route

This route is a quintessence of Krakow, an obligatory item of the itinerary during your visit in this city. "Via Regia" was the historical route used in the past by all legations and royal retinues going to the Wawel Castle. Walk along the Royal Route lets you not only to get to know the all highlights of Krakow, but also to feel rhythm and an unique atmosphere of the city.

During our walk we will see:

1.Medieval city walls with Gothic Barbican and St. Florian`s Gate. You will understand the intriguing connection between morality and the presence of Krakow defensive walls :)

2.St. Florian Street with its beautiful buildings and the House of John Matejko.

3.The Main Square with the Cloth Hall, the Town Hall Tower and St. Mary`s church with its masterpiece - late Gothic altar curved by Veit Stoss. Some unforgettable stories connected with the height of the church towers, brothers, deaths and ... Krakow traditions.

4.The University District with the oldest building of Jagiellonian University (the first university in Poland, established in 1364).

5.The Bishop Palace with the famous "Pope`s Window".

6.Basilica of Franciscan Fathers with its amazing stained-glass windows.

7.Kanonicza Street with Baroque church of St. Peter and St. Paul and Romanesque St. Andrew`s church.

8.Wawel Hill.
