Welcome!

My name is Aleksandra Kowalczyk. I am a licensed Krakow guide and a tour leader, guiding not only groups, but individual tourists as well.

If you want to see Krakow or its neighbourhood in an interesting and unconventional way - let me be your guide! I`m looking forward to seeing you in Krakow!

Kazimierz - Jewish district

Kazimierz was established in 1335 by king Kazimierz the Great. One fifth of its area was inhabited by the Jewish community. For centuries Kazimierz was a place where coexisted two cultures and two religions - Jewish and Catholic, what created its unique atmosphere.
Our walk will be a chance to get to know not only the history of Krakow Jews, but also their rich culture and traditions.

On our way we will see:

1.Szeroka Street - the centre of Jewish district and the house of Helena Rubinstein.

2.The Old Synagogue - the oldest synagogue in Poland .

3.Remuh Synagogue and the tomb of famous Rabbi Remuh located on 16th century Jewish cementary.

4.Izaac`s, Popper`s, Kupa and High Synagogus and Nowy Square with the ritual slaughterhouse.

5.The picturesque courtyard connected with "Schindler`s List" by Spielberg.

There is possibility to visit also the area of Krakow Ghetto from World War II and Schindler`s Factory known from the movie by Steven Spielberg.
